The wedding of Sophie & Jonathan at St Mary’s University in Twickenham is another one of my favourites because of many reasons.
Sophie is a detailed person, and we all agreed that she could become a professional wedding planner if she wanted to. I loved their Secret Garden themed wedding breakfast, and even more, I loved their Secret Cinema themed evening reception. Think funky fractal frames!
As starters, let me tell you something extra special about that day: it was also Sophie’s birthday.
I arrived at Sophie’s place for her bridal prep that morning and was warmly received by her welcoming family and lovely bridesmaids. A mouth-watering breakfast spread was prepared by Sophie’s mom, Antoinette, and I too agree that cupcakes, macaroons and pancakes are the best choices to start a great day with.
When I watched Sophie practiced her father-daughter dance with her dad, Paul, it was so heartwarming and beautiful that I couldn’t help but make a mental-note to ask my dad later if he would dance with me on my wedding day. I even told Sophie that I might start tearing up before the ceremony begins. In the end I didn’t, but I admit that I did when I was looking through their photos again on my computer.
Here’s the bit about Sophie and Jonathan that I absolutely love: they lived close to each other since they were young, but they never got to know one another until they studied at the same university in Durham! Antoinette also used to be a teacher at Jonathan’s school, so it really seems like their lives are entwined by fate.
I hope you’ll enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed their wedding. Just want to thank you so much again, Sophie and Jonathan, for giving me this opportunity to be part of your very special day. Much love to both of you and may you be blessed with every happiness, everyday!
