When Elaine first contacted me, she was certain about what she wanted and did not hesitate to share her vision of her photoshoot with me. We planned for the day through the exchange of quite a few emails, and I am happy that she was also open to my ideas. Despite the thorough preparation, we were both anxious as it was raining daily on days prior to her photoshoot. We thought that rain would spoil our carefully laid-out plan as we were hoping for an outdoor shoot. Alas, it did pour on the day but I must say that I am still very glad that we made the best out of it and the photo session turned out great.
Both Elaine and Justin are proud Penangites. This makes their first location overlooking the iconic Penang bridge the perfect choice. As we were hoping to catch the sunrise, Elaine started on her makeup as early as 4am in the morning!
In my opinion, it is very important that my couples feel at ease in front of the camera before I start taking the photos. We will have small chats and I will assist them with directions on natural-style posing before any camera work takes place. During Elaine’s and Justin’s photoshoot, we managed to complete our early morning session before it started to rain again.
We moved on to our second location and Justin changed into a smart looking suit attire while Elaine looked absolutely stunning in her red cheongsam. From Justin’s exterior, he appeared to be quite the serious looking guy. However, I noticed that whenever he was around Elaine, it was too easy for him to break into radiant smiles. I feel very grateful to have witnessed the joy that this couple brings to each other.
I have nothing but best wishes for this lovely couple. Thank you, Elaine and Justin, for the great day. Being your photographer was an honour and I wish both of you a blessed wedding and may your love be everlasting!
