About a year ago, Ana and Matthew booked me as their photographer for their wedding this coming July. We’ve spoken through Skype and exchanged emails, but I never got to meet them in person until yesterday. Within the first 10 minutes of our meeting, I knew instantly that this couple would be a lovely pair to work with.
As we were walking through the beautiful gardens at the hotel grounds, we saw a willow tree and Ana started telling me about Mary Poppins and her favourite dancing scene. Despite the heavy rain earlier that morning, she didn’t mind walking through soaked grounds. She also spoke about glittery shoes, Wellies, and going barefooted as few of her footwear (or the lack of) choices on her wedding day. Indeed, she is a child at heart. Matthew, in turn, would be amused and sometimes give a teasing, disapproving look, but it was so obvious that he had fallen in love with the youth and liveliness Ana has in her. It was also too easy for Ana to smile while being around Matthew, and I can’t help but feel very happy seeing these two together.
Thank you, Matthew, for bringing out the prettiest smiles in Ana.
After viewing the rooms at Dunchurch Park Hotel, we headed over to St Peter’s Church to see the wedding ceremony venue. Outside, there was a stall where you could press your own apple juice for just 50p! Ana tried her hands on those traditional apple press machines and Matthew joined in, and they got themselves full cups of very fresh juice – it was a pretty fruitful day, I’d say. 😉
Just want to say thanks for everything, Ana and Matthew, and I can’t wait to photograph your extra special day!
