Who would have thought that there could be a twist in my all-time favourite fairytale? Not just in the names, but Wendy is also a Boys’ Brigade officer looking after (The Lost- ) boys! Last Thursday was her wedding day, where the ceremony took place at Salem Methodist Church and the reception at Three Horseshoes, Peak District.
When we were just about to get downstairs, Tammy received a phone call – and found out that she’s won a competition!!! Attagirl!
Their life motto is laugh, love, live – and I absolutely agree with them. Wendy had planned a nice surprise to release two doves at Burslem Park, but it rained heavily as soon as we got there. If I brought my boots along I’d be happily kicking puddles all around!
Adam’s heartfelt best man speech definitely made more than one of us go to tears. When the rain stopped for a bit, we went out to get some shots with the beautiful Roaches in the background. I had lovely little Ruth to help me out, and I must say that she’s an expert.
I just want to say thank you, Wendy and Peter, for sharing your special day with me. I wish you all the best in life and may your love be everlasting! To Ruth and Tammy, if you’re reading this – have fun at school and stay awesome, I miss you guys already!
p.s. I hope everyone’s having a great Father’s Day! Lots of love to all dads out there!
